Biden announces $325 million security aid package for Ukraine during Zelenskyy visit
After a visit to the United Nations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President Joe Biden in the Oval Office as part of his trip to Washington D.C. to lobby for more aid in his country’s fight against Russia. While Zelenskyy was in the U.S., Russia launched strikes on multiple Ukrainian cities leaving several dead and dozens wounded. During the White House meeting, the Biden administration announced a $325 million security aid package for Kyiv which includes AIM-9M missiles.
