Noah: ‘He kicked me and hit my head on the wall’

Sky News has heard the harrowing testimony of a young boy to social workers – detailing how his mother was attacked by a boyfriend and thrown across the floor. He’s one of a growing number of children being referred to social services. A poll carried out for Sky News amongst Social workers suggests more than 6 out of ten say referrals are on the increase – and one in five say that domestic violence is the key issue. Sky’s People and Politics Correspondent Nick Martin has been looking at how one county council is trying to cope with the problem. And if you are affected by any of the issues raised, you can contact The Samaritans 24 hours a day on 116 123.
